Richard S. Rosenblum, MD

Richard S. Rosenblum, M.D. is a Norfolk native. He graduated from Norfolk Academy and went on to attend Colgate University receiving a BA in Religion. He then returned to Virginia and attended the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.

After completing a six year residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky, he headed south to prestigious Vanderbilt University to receive training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He then completed a Pediatric Plastic and Craniofacial Fellowship with Dr. William Magee which included participation in several Operation Smile International Missions as well as visiting fellowships in the United States and Europe.

In returning to Hampton Roads, he joins a medical community in which his father, Dr. Fred Rosenblum, D.D.S., has been a pediatric dentist for over 30 years. The younger Dr. Rosenblum maintains the same enthusiasm and commitment for caring for pediatric patients with plastic and reconstructive surgical needs.

Dr. Rosenblum has lectured both nationally and internationally on pediatric plastic surgery and craniosynostosis. His specific interests are in cleft lip and cleft palate surgery, craniofacial disorders and ear reconstruction. In joining Dr. Magee and establishing the Institute for Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery, Dr. Rosenblum joins in the vision of creating a craniofacial center of excellence in our region.
